Major Characters:
|
Machida Kouzou is a 45 year old widowed office worker that is boinking his son-in-law (I think it's his son-in-law). |
|
Machida Kenjiro is a 26 year old widower that works in the same office as his father in law. |
The Story
This story is almost requires a suspension of belief. It's a continuation of a short story from Zange, featuring a middle-aged man that is doing the deed with his son-in-law.
It's a series of stories about their life and other people's reactions to their situation. Obviously, they're not going to tell everyone, so it's a bit of a game of hide and seek around their colleagues and family, especially when the company goes on a trip together.
There is an unrelated short at the end of the comic, about another angsty relationship between a boy and his father's student.
Commentary
Boy, is this a PWP manga.
I'm tempted to just leave my comments like that, but I'd better not.
I'm fond of Kano Shiuko's art. It's all about bold lines and great-looking older guys. Or perhaps, great-looking guys in general, eh?
So, I like both of the characters. Kenjirou is a bit possessive and is definitely more assured in what he wants than Kouzou, who doesn't really seem have as much angst as he did in "Zange". In fact, I get the feeling he's just acting like an old man, with the stretching exercises and saying how everything feels good. *cough* In fact, Kenjirou often looks a bit incredulous that he's with this man, and constantly calls him 'oyaji' in his head.
Amusing points besides the oyaji bits are things like the a ping-pong match between the 2, and a situation where I swear Kouzou is asking Kenjirou's mother to let him have her son. Like, in marriage. Funny, because Kenjirou does the exact same thing to his father-in-law in "Zange", but laughs it off as a joke. Plus, the mother's reaction is pretty funny. She seems like such a dragon lady. And Kenjirou's reaction to his mother's reaction... okay, you get it I'm sure.
There's also someone that tries to intrude on their relationship, and Kenjirou's reaction to that is the typical possessive one. And, the end result of that story is pretty amusing.
It's a cute, PWP manga. Which is something I'm sure one expects from this artist. Either that, or angst up the wazoo.
